A young girl travels to Ginza and fulfills her dream of singing to help the children of a poor orphanage and is mistaken for the missing granddaughter of a wealthy and heartless businessman.

Terry the Tomboy centers around a confident, bacon-loving and shower-deficient tomboy whose summer goal is to win the county fair pie-eating contest. After meeting her new neighbor Brett (Charlie Depew, The Amazing Spiderman), she isn’t so interested in pie anymore and realizes the worst thing has happened — she’s a tomboy who has fallen in love.

Hosted by Jumoké Fashola, this year’s guest performers include cellist and vocalist Ayanna Witter-Johnson, Kurdish singer Aynur, neo-soul and contemporary jazz singer Ego Ella May, vocalist and composer Georgia Cécile, singer Sachal Vasandani and saxophonist and spoken word artist Lakecia Benjamin.

Funny how we think of the loutish behaviour of some of today's teens as a modern-day phenomenon. Here, in a short film more than one hundred years old, we see two tearaways terrorising a bed-ridden old lady, sabotaging a number of honest workmen as they go about their daily work, vandalising a bakery and taking a vehicle without consent - all in the space of six frenetic minutes.

Pioneer filmmaker J. Stuart Blackton was intrigued by the idea of a film about the history of the movies as early as 1915. He finally released a 52-minute feature called The Film Parade that was shown in New York and favorably reviewed by "Variety" in 1933.
